The state has recorded 159.2 mm rainfall during the current monsoon season from June 1 to 28. According to information provided by the officials of Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Jashpur district has recorded maximum rainfall in this season, i.e. 248.6 mm. The rainfall recorded in the other districts is – Bilaspur – 180.2 mm, Kabeerdham – 65.6 mm, Rajnandgaon – 159 mm, Dhamtari – 189.9 mm, Kanker (North Bastar)– 151.7 mm, Jagdalpur – 137.3 mm and Bijapur – 56.9 mm, Raigarh – 121.6 mm, Mahasamund – 105.9 mm, Raipur – 173.1 mm, Sarguja – 211.7 mm, Janjgir-Champa – 95.5, Korba – 175.4, Durg – 189.5 Narayanpur – 188 mm and Dantewada (South Bastar) – 111.9 mm.
