Striking clerical staffers have decided not to take government orders on pulse polio, economic census 2012 and livestock census 2012 works.
“The clerical strike has broken the previous record of 33 days as we completed 34 days of dharna on Wednesday. However, the government remains insensitive towards our strike,” said the state spokespersons of striking clerks Vijay Kumar Jha.
Notably, three different unions of clerks – Chhattisgarh Pradesh Tritiya Varg Karmachari Sangh, Chhattisgarh Lipik Vargiya Karmachari Sangh and Chhattisgarh Pradesh Lipik Vargiya Karmachari Sangh have jointly formed Sanyukta Morcha to represent clerical strike that started on December 14, 2012. The clerks are demanding implementation of recommendations of Dr Dinanath Tiwari Committee for grade III employees according to their earlier talks with the chief minister.
Jha informed that the employees BK Shukla, Rajendra Sharma, Chintaman Sonkure, Tamanlal Bharti, Ashok Kumar Bhoi and Dilip Kumar Banjare sat on hunger strike on Wednesday.
