Congress on
Friday said Chhattisgarh lost its number one position in eight different sectors
due to bad governance of BJP government.
“The BJP should
have improved and strengthened the state’s radical structure in nine years but
it did the vice versa. Chhattisgarh’s reputation is of the corrupt state in
global arena. Therefore, major industrial houses across the world stayed off
state’s recent investors’ meet,” said PCC president Nandkumar Patel and CLP
leader Ravindra Choubey on the occasion of BJP’s nine years in power.
“The state is
progressing on in terms of corruption, crime, Maoism, red-tapism and
directionless development. The global organisations, which keep constant eye on
corruption worldwide, too put Chhattisgarh on top in graft cases in their
surveys,” they said.
Pointing towards survey
reports conducted by two different organisations that has lowered
Chhattisgarh’s rank, the duo advised the government to stop making its false
publicity and concentrate in effective developmental factors.
According to survey
reports provided by the duo, the eight sectors in which the state has lost its
number position are – primary health (now 20th), environment (now 11th),
micro-economy (now 11th), agriculture (now 18th), consumer
market (now 17th), primary education (now 17th),
infrastructure (now 19th) and governance (now 12th).
They said only the
Central schemes like MNREGA, Prime Minister Gram Sadak Yojna, National Rural
Health Mission, etc bring some relief and ray of hope to the people of
Chhattisgarh as otherwise the BJP government had nothing to boast about its
achievements.
