Sahu stresses on adoption of modern dairy technology

Raipur, December 07, 2012

Agriculture and Livestock Development Minister Chandrashekhar Sahu feels that present-day cattle breeders should be upgraded with modern dairy technology to enhance their business volumes.

“Dairy and cattle breeding business can be profitable if one would adopt positive attitude towards it,” Sahu said while inaugurating three-day agriculture, dairy and livestock expo at BTI ground on Friday.

“The inclination of people towards agriculture, horticulture and dairy sector has increased and advent of new technology in this field has helped creating ample job opportunities,” he said.

He hoped that cattle breeders would get acquainted with new technology and machines pertaining to agriculture and dairy sector in the expo and use novel methods to gain profit.

During expo, workshop and lecture programme for farmers and cattle breeders will be organised to train them on cattle breeding, disease management, cattle nursing, fodder, breed upgradation of local cattle, milk production, etc. The training will be imparted by agricultural scientists and subject experts hailing from different parts of the world.
