CM apprehends loss in VS polls: Jogi

Raipur, January 17, 2013

Senior Congress MLA Ajit Jogi on Thursday said chief minister Raman Singh had apprehended loss in upcoming assembly polls much before as was evident by his recent ban on people wearing black cloths in his rallies. “His erratic behaviour is reflection of government’s frustration. People have awakened and made a mindset to dethrone this weak and corrupt government,” Jogi said. He demanded that the CM should immediately lift the ban and tender apology to public.

He also hit the government for not reinstating the Shikshakarmis who were terminated during their recent 38-day strike.

“The CM’s statement that “terminated Shikshakarmis will remain terminated” indicates the ruling BJP’s impassivity and double standard towards the contract teachers,” Jogi said.

“The contradictory remarks of the CM and school education minister Brijmohan Agrawal have unravelled infighting in BJP,” he added.

He asked the CM to instantly reinstate terminated Shikshakarmis considering studies being affected in government schools.
