PCC
president Nandkumar Patel and CLP leader Ravindra Choubey on Wednesday sought
clarification from chief minister Raman Singh pertaining to home minister
Nankiram Kanwar’s remark on links between liquor contractors, officials and
politicians.
“During a programme
at LB Nagar Rajnandgaon in which the CM too was present, Kanwar overtly admitted
that liquor contractors earn several crores and sizable chunk of their earnings
reaches to officials and politicians. When he stated these words he pointed
towards the CM and other leaders on stage. Evidently, Kanwar’s confession has exposed
real character and face of the BJPians,” they said.
They indicated that
since the revelation came from the HM himself, the government ceases to remain
in power on moral grounds.
“The CM should tell
the people why his government takes bribe from the liquor contractors,” they demanded.
“Corruption is brimming in this government and
people too want to get rid of it now,” they said.
