Charandas meets Bastar’s poll aspirants

AICC spokesperson and Chhattisgarh Congress secretary incharge Bhakta Charandas met poll aspirants of Bastar division and took stock of their preparations at a city-based hotel on Saturday. The discussion was held over 11 out of 12 assembly seats of Bastar division as one seat, i.e. Konta belonged to Congress and its sitting MLA Kawasi Lakhma’s ticket is final for the elections.

The party has already made panel of two candidates each for 11 Vidhan Sabha seats of Bastar region. The names was shortlisted earlier by AICC treasurer Motilal Vora, CLP leader Ravindra Choubey, party MLA Mohammad Akbar and state NSUI chief Devendra Yadav.

It is learnt that Fulodevi Netam and Manturam Pawar had separately held talks with Charandas and claimed their candidature from Keshkal and Antagarh VS seats respectively.

Besides, Jhitruram Baghel, Anturam Kashyap and Shiv Netam also reached alongwith their supporters to meet Charandas.
