Condemning abduction and murder of a child in Kabeerdham district, the Congress on Wednesday said the government completely failed to maintain law and order in state.
“The child was studying in class IV. He was kidnapped three days back. The abductors demanded ransom of Rs 60000 to release him. His family members instantly informed the police about the incident, but the latter did not take the matter seriously. Meanwhile, the kidnappers killed the child when they did not get ransom. The incidents like abduction, rape and murder have become rife in state. The government is least bothered about public security,” said Congress spokesperson Sushil Anand Shukla.
