Cong observers convene YC office-bearers’ meet

Raipur, September 19, 2013

Two Congress observers arrived from New Delhi convened significant meeting of YC office-bearers regarding their assembly poll preparations at Congress Bhawan on Thursday. The meeting was also attended by YC’s Chhattisgarh incharge Himmat Singh.

In the meeting, the duo sought five names from each booth to beef-up the party at booth-level. The observers will also assign responsibilities to the YC office-bearers before elections.

They categorically said that the party would give due consideration only to active office-bearers, not the inactive ones. They will hold another meeting on Friday.

The two observers belong to the bunch of 40 who have arrived in Chhattisgarh on party’s national vice president Rahul Gandhi’s directives. Their key job is to see how the party’s state unit is preparing for polls and impart them directions accordingly. They will also ensure that the party remains united till polls and will work as a bridge between different factions.

Five YC office-bearers reinstated


The state YC president Uttam Vasudev has reportedly reinstated five suspended office-bearers of the organisation. All the five were suspended on grounds of inactivity. It is learnt that considering polls ahead, the other suspended YC office-bearers will also be reinstated in coming days. Those who were reinstated on Thursday are – Sandeep Tiwari, Rajendra Bagga, Vijay Banjare, Rupesh Sahu and Monu Walia.
