The YC members on Monday demonstrated before Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) for not addressing public grievances and ignoring civic problems in wards under Raipur South assembly constituency.
In this connection, they also submitted a memorandum to RMC commissioner Taran Prakash Sinha.
In the memorandum, they pointed that the municipal had failed to supply drinking water in several colonies and shanties of different wards. They said in some places, residents were compelled to drink contaminated water. They further said that overflowing drains, no street lights and deteriorated roads are other problems that needed to be addressed at the earliest.
They cautioned Sinha of gheraoing RMC and launching aggressive agitation against it if civic issues of Raipur South assembly constituency were not dealt in next seven days.
