Raipur, September 16, 2013

Referring to recent incidents of abduction, murder, etc in Raipur, the Congress on Monday said crime rate had rapidly increased in the capital city. In this connection, a delegation of the Congress workers led by PCC’s non-institutional sector grievance redressal cell president Dilip Singh Chouhan submitted a memorandum to Raipur SP OP Pal and urged to instantly take effective measures to check rising crime rate

The delegation said frequency of police patrolling in Pandri bus stand, railway station, remote colonies, etc should be increased, additional police personnel should be pressed in Ambedkar hospital, liquor shops should be closed when tableaux of lord Ganesha will be taken out in the city and stern action should be taken against those who would be trapped consuming alcohol on that day.
