Upadhyay complains against CG govt in CM’s presence

Raipur, September 19, 2013

DCC Raipur Urban president Vikas Upadhyay complained to prime minister Manmohan Singh against Chhattisgarh government and said it was misleading people by claiming Sanjeevni 108 ambulance service as its own despite the scheme being launched by Centre. Upadhyay lodged his complain to PM during the latter’s Raipur arrival at Mana airport. At that moment, chief minister Raman Singh was also present.

Upadhyay told Singh that the state government’s conduct was highly objectionable as 80% of the fund to operate Sanjeevni 108 ambulance service is provided by the Centre.

He said the Centre had also sent a letter in this connection to the state government on March 16, 2013 to run the scheme on its name or else it would stop providing fund for that purpose.

Upadhyay said the DCC Raipur Urban unit will remove the name of state government from Sanjeevni 108 ambulances if the latter continues to ignore Centre’s letter.

On the occasion, Upadhyay was accompanied by Raipur North MLA Kuldeep Juneja, PCC general secretaries Ramesh Warlyani and Arun Vora, PCC spokesperson Ghanshyam Raju Tiwari, etc.
