Patan rally: Daharia for action against Pradeep Choubey

Writes letter to Hariprasada

Raipur, September 06, 2013

Terming as indirect reference used by PCC vice president Pradeep Choubey against senior party MLA Ajit Jogi during Congress’ public rally at Patan on September 5 as obnoxious, former CM’s staunch supporter and Bilaigarh legislator Dr Shiv Kumar Daharia has demanded stern disciplinary action against Choubey by writing a letter to Chhattisgarh Congress incharge BK Hariprasada on Friday.

“Choubey called some of the senior party leaders two-headed serpent which is highly objectionable. His language also conveys wrong message down the line in party cadre. Hence, instant disciplinary action should be taken against him,” said Daharia in his letter.

Notably, despite efforts by senior party leadership to bridge gap between Jogi and his opponents to post comfortable victory in assembly elections slated to be held in the yearend, none seems compromising with his ego.

Recently, Jogi extended an olive branch to his opponents, but deliberately ignored PCC programme coordinator Bhupesh Baghel. Aggrieved by Jogi’s conduct, Baghel picked Patan rally as an opportunity to retaliate in similar fashion and he succeeded in alienating the former from the major event.

Already stung by Baghel’s vindictive act, when Jogi supporters found Choubey too using acerbic tone against their leader, they instantly decided to take the matter to high command through Hariprasada.
