Congress has decided to lock fair price shops with no stock. This connection, a delegation of Congress workers led by DCC Raipur Urban president Vikas Upadhyay on Thursday submitted memorandum to Raipur collector Siddhartha Komal Pardeshi.
Holding the government responsible for issuing ration cards more than actual number of beneficiaries, Upadhyay said eventually the genuine cardholders were not receiving their share of quota.
He said the Congress, along with cardholders, would gherao chief minister and food minister if district administration fails to provide adequate stock to fair price shops. He also warned of hampering CM’s programmes in capital city.
On the occasion, Upadhyay was accompanied by Vimal Gupta, Aziz Bhinsara, Mohammad Ismail, Musheer, Amit Sharma, Mohammad Tarik Khan, Sunil Bhuwal, Suresh Thakur, etc.
