Govt brainwashing youth: Jogi

Raipur, September 16, 2013

Congress legislator Ajit Jogi on Monday alleged that the government, under its Yuwa Bharat Darshan (YBD) programme, was brainwashing youth and trying to link them with BJP ideology.

“The government is sending youth to different states under YBD through special trains. These youth neither get meals nor proper accommodation. They do not even have adequate money to return home. Presently, about 900 youth are held captive in dharamshalas or ill-facilitated places,” he charged.

He also lashed at the government for not creating job opportunities for state youth. He pointed that about 50% of the vacant government posts were captured by outsiders in last ten years.

“Now, the government is simply deceiving youth by extending age limit of Chhattisgarh public service commission (PSC) aspirants up to 40 and announcing to arrange coaching facility candidates under reserved category,” he said.

He further said due to grafts prevailed in commission, majority of its exams became controversial and their results could not be declared as the matters reached to court. “Due to delay in exam results, unemployment became major problem in state,” he added.

He said despite several job fairs being organised by the BJP government the state youth were facing employment problem. While district employment exchanges are on verge of closure, he added.
