NSUI pays candle tribute to Damini

The NSUI paid candle tribute to Delhi gangrape victim Damini at Jaistambh chowk on Friday evening. Hailing fast track court’s verdict to hang all four culprits in the gangrape case, the NSUI leader Gulzeb Ahmed said the decision would certainly deter occurrence of such incidents.

The state Congress too welcomed court’s decision on Delhi gangrape incident and said the country had expected such move. The PCC spokesperson Sushil Anand Shukla said public trust on judiciary had consolidated in wake of court’s historical decision against rapists.

During candle tribute, Ahmed was accompanied by Shahbaz Hussein, Sheikh Asif, Vijendra Singh Bhuwal, Shahrukh Asharfi, Amit Tiwari, Rajat Wadhwani, etc.
