Congress has requested prime minister Manmohan Singh to make national
investigation agency’s (NIA) report on May 25-Darbha incident public before
upcoming assembly elections. In this connection, the Congress leaders submitted
a memorandum to PM during his Raipur
arrival at Swami Vivekanand airport Mana on Thursday.
Reminding
the PM that he had assured the injured partymen after Darbha incident that NIA
would submit its report in three months, the Congress leaders indicated that
even four months after the incident, the agency could not complete its probe.
They
said truth in the form of report should come to fore before elections. On the
occasion, Dr Shivnarayan Dwivedi, Chandrashekhar Yadav and Chouleshwar
Chandrakar (all of whom had received injuries during May 25 incident), PCC
secretary Yogesh Tiwari and other Congress workers were present.
