Alleging irregularities in bicycle and sewing machine distribution to beneficiaries of non-institutional sector, a delegation of Congress members on Friday submitted a memorandum to labour minister Chandrashekhar Sahu.
The delegation charged that the department was violating rules while distributing cycles and sewing machines. The benefit is being given to those who are close to BJP leaders while the deserving beneficiaries are still waiting for their turn, it said.
The delegation further pointed that the given time period to distribute cycles and sewing machines were not sufficient and date should be extended. It warned the minister of taking the matter to streets if its demanded would be ignored.
The delegation was comprised of PCC’s non-institutional sector grievance redressal cell president Dilip Singh Chouhan and others.
