Kanker case: YC activists submit memo to HM

The Youth Congress (YC) activists led by their leader Dilip Singh Chouhan on Monday submitted a memorandum with their five-point demand to Home Minister Nankiram Kanwar in protest of Kanker rape incident.

Chouhan said the rape incidents had rapidly increased in Chhattisgarh in past two months and the most shattering was the Kanker case.

“We condemn this incident as the government has failed to maintain law and order in the state. People are feeling insecure under BJP regime,” he added.
The five-point demand of the YC was – government must order high-level probe into all the rape incidents and hearing should be though fast-track courts, adequate police personnel should be pressed new schools and colleges considering rising eve-teasing cases, frequent police patrolling should be done near girls’ hostels, complaint box should be put in girls’ hostels and the complaints should be dealt regularly and inquiry into all abusive cases should be completed quickly.

On the occasion, Chouhan was accompanied by Shiekh Shakeel, Azhar Rahman, Imran, Suresh Chandra Dave, Raseed Khan, Gabbar Chouhan, Bablu Raza, Shahrukh, Hameed Khan, Mohan Sahu, Preetam, Akash, Vishnu Sharma, Rakesh Sharma, Vikky Dongre, etc.
