Choubey’s photo in BJP ad, Cong startles

The CLP leader Ravindra Choubey has entangled in new a controversy as his photograph has been published by the BJP in its party advertisement on Monday. The ad is related to BJP’s ‘panchayat mahasammelan’ to be organised at Durg on September 24. The Congress could not believe this. The PCC president Nandkumar Patel said he would comment only after knowing the fact.
Notably, the BJP, in its July end meeting, had decided to organise panchayat mahasammelan at Durg for which party chief Nitin Gadkari was invited as chief guest of the programme.
With Choubey’s photo in the ad, the Congress leaders too want to know whether the panchayat mahasammelan is BJP’s party affair or a government-sponsored programme. Since there is no logo or symbol of Panchayat and Rural Development Department in the ad, the programme appears to belong to BJP.
However, according to information, the government is projecting the programme to be organised under the banner of Panchayat and Rural Development Department after the significant talks between Chief Minister Raman Singh and BJP’s co-organisational general secretary Saudan Singh on September 17.
The senior Congress leaders including Ajit Jogi have termed the ad as BJP’s conspiracy to polarise the opposition.
