Rs 113.18 cr spent on people affected by natural calamities



The state government has spent Rs 113.18 crore on people affected by natural calamities including flood, drought and drinking water crisis in the financial year 2010-11. The fund was disbursed through the district disaster relief committees. The officials of State Disaster Management Department informed that Rs 26.76 crore was disbursed to the affected people from different types of natural disasters, Rs 29.66 crore was spent on drought relief works, Rs 46.27 crore on reconstruction of infrastructure damaged due to flood, Rs 10.18 crore drinking water supply and Rs 30.15 lakh on other works.
