The Congress has resolved to check migration of labourers from the state. The PCC president Nandkumar Patel has urged the party workers to make attempts to create congenial atmosphere for the labourers of the state so that they may not have to migrate to other states in search of subsistence. Patel’s appeal to the partymen came after he hoisted national flag at Congress Bhawan on the occasion of Independence Day on August 15.
“Presently, the impoverished section of the society is forced to migrate because of the state government’s wrong policies, failure to create job opportunities and apathetic attitude towards labourers of unorganised sector who get low wage,” said Patel.
“It is unfortunate that in spite of incessant flow of funds from Centre to the state for schemes meant for poor, the end beneficiaries are still a disadvantaged lot. The party considers it as a burning issue of the state and is committed to raise voice for labourers till they get their deserving benefits,” said Patel.
On the occasion were present former PCC president Dhanendra Sahu, Satyanarayan Sharma, MLAs Amitesh Shukla, Kuldeep Juneja and Dr Premsai Singh along with Rajendra Tiwari, Ramesh Varlyani, Swaroopchand Jain, DCC Raipur Urban president Inderchand Dhariwal, Mayor Kiranmayi Nayak, Deepak Dubey, Sheikh Najimuddin, Gangaram Sharma, Radheshyam Sharma, Paras Chopra, Suman Pathak, Pradesh Mahila Congress working president Kalpana Patel, Sanjay Pathak, Mamta Rai, Dr Niranjan Haritwal, Daulat Rohra and large number of party workers.
