Congress will stage day-long district-level dharna against rising corruption in state on Tuesday. The PCC president Nandkumar Patel said that the Congress would protest against the BJP-led state government for keeping its eyes shut from scams and corruption including illegal mining in BALCO, alleged Rs 10 lakh bribe demanded by PWD Minister Brijmohan Agrawal from one Canada-based construction company, etc. After dharna, the party workers will submit memorandum on the name of Governor to their respective Collectors.
The dharna will be participated by all the PCC members from different districts. Patel will participate in the dharna in Jashpur, senior party leader and MLA Ajit Jogi – Raipur, leader of Congress legislators’ party (CLP) Ravindra Choubey – Rajnandgaon, Maksudan Lal Chandrakar – Raigarh, Bodhram Kanwar – Sarguja, Jaisingh Agrawal – Koria, Deepak Dubey – Janjgir-Champa, Vidhan Mishra – Korba, Parasram Bhardwaj – Bilaspur, Satyanarayan Sharma – Durg, Haji Sheikh Najimuddin – Kawardha, Anturam Kashyap – Dantewada, Mahendra Karma – Bastar, Domendra Bhedia – Kanker, Pawan Diwan and MLA Amitesh Shukla – Dhamtari.
Patel has further appealed to the party workers to participate in the traffic jam programme of Youth Congress against BJP government’s bad governance and wrong policies.
