The PCC president Nandkumar Patel claimed that over 75 percent of the MNREGA scams of the state prevailed in the tribal regions. “The scams in Rajnandgaon and Kawardha are samples and we will soon expose the government in other districts too,” said Patel. “In October, the monitoring committee will tour Sarguja division. We will go to each and every development block to collect evidence regarding corruption in MNREGA works. Thereafter, we will tour Bastar division in November to repeat the same investigation procedures. If needed, we will tour Sarguja and Bastar again in December,” Patel said. On functioning of monitoring committee, he said fortnightly or monthly meeting would be organised to take stock of the Central works in the state.
