The State Information Commissioner (SIC) Anil Joshi on Wednesday imposed Rs 25000 fine on nagar panchayat Ratanpur’s former RTI officer Ghanshyam Sharma for not providing proper information sought by applicant Mahendra Kumar Dubey. The commission further charged Sharma of misleading it and hiding the fact. The commission also rebuked Sharma for not sending reply to its show cause notice. In hearing, the Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) Sergius Minj imposed Rs 8000 on RTI officer GL Thakur from Chhattisgarh Tourism Board (CTB) for not providing information to the applicants timely in two different cases.
