The Youth Congress (YC) will stage a day-long dharna against Essar at Budhapara-based dharna spot on Wednesday. “We strongly condemn the Essar-naxal links and urge the government to file a case against it under Treason Act. We will also launch protest movement against Essar in phased manner and we will begin with dharna on Wednesday,” said general secretary of YC’s Raipur North Vidhan Sabha Dilip Singh Chouhan. “We will continuously mount pressure on the government to take action against Essar till our demands get fulfilled,” he said. Chouhan further informed that the YC would also meet Governor Shekhar Dutt in coming days and submit a memorandum to him in favour of its demands.
