The state has recorded 1172.7 mm rainfall during the current monsoon season from June 1 to September 20. According to information provided by the officials of Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Koria district has recorded maximum rainfall in this season, i.e.1554.9 mm. The rainfall recorded in the other districts is – Bilaspur – 1153.7 mm, Kabeerdham – 722.6 mm, Rajnandgaon –1172.3 mm, Durg – 1134.1mm, Dhamtari – 1191.7 mm, Kanker (North Bastar)– 1137.4 mm, Jagdalpur (Bastar) – 1146 mm, Bijapur – 1086.9 mm, Raigarh – 1263.6 mm, Mahasamund – 1289 mm, Raipur –1119.5 mm, Sarguja – 1198 mm, Jashpur – 1174.4 mm, Janjgir-Champa – 1083.9 mm, Korba – 1437.7 mm, Narayanpur –1005.9 mm and Dantewada (South Bastar) – 1237.2 mm.
