The Raipur South Vidhan Sabha unit of Youth Congress (YC) on Thursday convened a meeting of the office-bearers to chalk out strategy to gherao state Assembly on Friday.
The YC members unanimously agreed to gherao the Assembly on 11- points which are – blanket ban on liquor sale, Rs 220 bonus to the farmers, free-of-cost electricity up to 5 HP to the farmers, availability of fertilisers, action against black marketeers of fertilisers, revocation of hike in water and property taxes and power tariff, provision of error-free power bills, CBI inquiry into Meena Khalkhon murder case, irregularities in road construction projects under Chhattisgarh Gramin Sadak Vikas Abhikaran, corruption prevailed in Central schemes and rising naxal violence and crime in state.
The meeting was chaired by the president of Raipur South Vidhan Sabha unit of Youth Congress (YC) Indrajeet Singh and attended by general secretaries -Mohammad Azhar, Ashraf Hussein, Rahul Tiwari, ward presidents – Tikesh Thakur, Nadeem Salat, Manish Vishwakarma, Nandu Yadu, Pintu Kesharwani, Vicky Yaduvanshi, Mohammad Rizwan and other workers.
