High fee being taken to fetch info under RTI: YC

The Youth Congress has alleged that high fee was being taken in almost all the government departments to obtain information under Right to Information (RTI) Act. “This is clear violation of Central and state information commissions and is being done to deliberately harass the applicants,” charged YC’s Raipur Lok Sabha president Vinod Tiwari on Monday.

“Considering the problems faced by the applicants to fetch information under RTI Act, we will submit a memorandum to Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) Sergius Minj on Tuesday evening,” Tiwari said.
