The team of Raipur Sahkari Dugdh Utpadak Sangh Limited (RSDUSL) and Dairy Technology College (under Kamdhenu University) on Friday conducted purity test of 59 milk samples in Kota and found 28 adulterated.
“This was expected. We first conducted milk purity test in Tatibandh on September 6 and revealed that 73 out of 83 samples adulterated. Then we announced that our next destination will be Kota on Friday. Scared of being exposed, the milkmen in that locality distributed pure milk to the customers. This is a good sign and as we have succeeded in creating awareness to some extent,” said sangh’s managing director SS Gaharwal.
Notably, the RSDUSL and Dairy Technology College have jointly launched consumer awareness campaign – ‘doodh ka doodh – paani ka paani’ in Raipur to make people aware of the quality of the milk they are buying.
Gaharwal informed that besides local residents, the milkmen in Kota too came with the samples for milk purity test in mobile laboratory.
