Congress has alleged that rich minerals of Bastar are being smuggled and it is happening under protection of highly influential BJP leaders.
“Even the Mining department is watching everything as a silent spectator under political pressure,” charged chief Congress spokesperson Shailesh Nitin Trivedi.
“The government has granted reconnaissance permit of about 66000 square kilometers of state lands to the private players to explore mineral resources. It is certainly planning to hand over these lands to the private players,” he said.
He pointed that the state’s rich minerals are being smuggled in Orissa, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, etc.
