The cultural and literary organisation – Nav Ujiyara will organise Surta Hiralal Kavyopadhyay 2012 – a ceremony to felicitate litterateurs who have contributed in Chhattisgarhi language, on the occasion of Hiralal Kavyopadhyay’s 156th birth anniversary at Vrindavan hall in Civil Lines on Sunday.
“Kavyopadhyay was creator of Chhattisgarhi grammar and Nav Ujiyara pays him tribute every year by felicitating litterateurs for their valuable work in the field of Chhattisgarhi language,” informed organisation’s president Sushil Bhole and sectary Jayant Sahu.
The chief guest of the programme will be Agriculture Minister Chandrashekhar Sahu while special guest will be Parliamentary Secretary Home Jail and Cooperative Vijay Baghel. Historian Dr Prabhulal Mishra will attend the programme as chief speaker. He will shed light on Kavyopadhyay’s life.
The litterateurs, who would be felicitated on the occasion, are Pt Shyamlal Chaturvedi (Bilaspur), Dr Baldev Sao (Raigarh), Dr Dashrath Lal Nishad ‘Vidrohi’ (Magarlod, Dhamtari), Raghuveer Agrawal ‘Pathik’ (Durg) and Dr Ramendra Nath Mishra (Raipur).
The organisation will also felicitate young painter Bhojraj Dhangar for making a painting of Kavyopadhyay.
Bhole and Sahu informed that the felicitation ceremony would be followed by vichar goshthi organised under joint aegis of Nav Ujiyara and state’s Culture Department. The organisation has invited senior litterateurs as well as young generation of Chhattisgarhi writers from different parts of the state.
