The first meeting of recently constituted Mati Kala Board (MKB) held at New Circuit House on Thursday. In the meeting, the board chairman Gajanand Kumbhkar directed officials to conduct socio-economic survey of potters and prepare work plan for their registration and training.
Kumbhkar said pottery being ancient and traditional business needed to be linked with modern technique and market considering public demand.
In the meeting, board members also discussed over training programmes of semi-skilled and unskilled potters.
The meeting was attended by board members Dulichand Prajapati, Ashok Chakradhari, Shambhunath Chakradhari, Itwari Ram Chakradhari, Jamuna Pade, managing director of MKB NK Khakha, etc.
