In wake of recent road mishap in which a truck dashed an auto rickshaw loaded with schoolchildren and killed one child, the Youth Congress (YC) on Monday demanded from ASP traffic Shweta Sinha to implement ‘no entry’ from 6 am instead of 7 am.
Submitting a memorandum to Sinha, the YC members pointed that vehicular movement in city increases after 6 am – majority being school buses and auto rickshaws carrying schoolchildren.
“The traffic police and transport department should also make mandatory for auto rickshaws carrying schoolchildren to keep right door of their vehicles closed through a grill for safety of the kids. This will prevent road mishaps like that happed at Fafadih on September 15,” said YC’s Raipur North Vidhan Sabha area president Sunil Kukreja.
On the occasion, he was accompanied by Soma Thakur, Milind Gautam, Sagar Pithalia, Hira Nagarchi, Sagar Dulhani, Rajesh, Shankar Ratre, Vikas Thakur, Amit Kosaria, etc.
