NSUI activists, students lock women’s poly


Raipur, September 15, 2012

The students of Government’s Women’s Polytechnic along with NSUI activists locked college protesting engineers’ day and demanding to first fulfill their demands. The police arrested the demonstrators but released later when Congress MLA Kuldeep Juneja, DCC Raipur Urban president Inderchand Dhariwal and others sat on dharna for their release.

“The students of women’s polytechnic had been demanding from college administration to end the ‘year back’ system as has been done in engineering colleges. They had also complained of zero marks being given to them in sessional. They had also submitted a memorandum to the university in this connection, but in vain,” said NSUI leader Amit Sharma.

During demonstration, Sharma was accompanied by NSUI members Deepak Mishra, Akash Sharma, Bhavesh Shukla, Abhay Thakur, Ashish Dwivedi, Ashutosh Tiwari, Dilip Singh, Abhijeet Sharma, Chandan, Tushar, etc.
