Cong preps up for its October 1 Raipur show

Patel to hold meeting of party leaders on Sept 30

Raipur, September 24, 2012

Congress is intensely preparing for its collectorate-gherao programme at Raipur scheduled on October 1 – the concluding event under anti-government movement that started on August 9. In this connection, state unit president Nandkumar Patel will hold significant meeting of the party office-bearers a Congress Bhawan on September 30. The meeting will be attended AICC secretary and PCC secretary incharge Bhakt Charandas.

Beaming with the success of its CM house-gherao programme held at September 4, the party once again plans to muster massive crowd in the capital city on October 1.

According to information, Patel is likely to assign tasks to party’s Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha incharges for the Raipur show on September 30 meeting. Also to prevent its capital event from being hijacked by any of its factions, the party is likely to seek coordination from all the camps.

Sources informed that although Patel cannot afford to upset Jogi faction, he would grab opportunity in the party meeting to make a common appeal to put united show on October 1.

He will further discuss over Vidhan Sabha-level training camps which the party aims to conclude in December 2012.

Patel’s meeting will be followed by three more meetings on September 30 – monitoring committee meeting at 3 pm, discipline committee meeting at 4 pm and building construction committee at 4:30 pm.
