The state has recorded 1066.7 mm rainfall during the current monsoon season from June 1 to September 7.
According to information provided by the officials of Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Sukma district has recorded maximum rainfall in this season, i.e.1589 mm.
The rainfall recorded in the other districts is – Korba – 1096 mm, Bilaspur – 1069 mm, Kabeerdham –666 mm, Jashpur – 818 mm, Surajpur – 765 mm, Rajnandgaon – 956 mm, Durg – 1060 mm, Gariyaband – 1028 mm, Balrampur – 1013 mm, Mungeli – 1004 mm, Dhamtari – 986 mm, Bemetara – 994 mm, Kanker (North Bastar)– 1215 mm, Jagdalpur (Bastar) – 1461 mm, Bijapur – 1451 mm, Raigarh – 900 mm, Balod – 877 mm, Mahasamund – 1212 mm, Raipur –1126 mm, Kondagaon – 1113 mm, Koria – 1106 mm, Sarguja – 844 mm, Balodabazar – 840 mm, Jashpur – 1174.4 mm, Janjgir-Champa – 964 mm, Korba – 1437.7 mm, Narayanpur –1351 mm and Dantewada (South Bastar) – 1293 mm.
