CM planning to sell CG to foreign investors: Jogi

Raipur, September 28, 2012

Senior Congress MLA Ajit Jogi on Friday alleged that Chief Minister Raman Singh was planning to sell Chhattisgarh to foreign investors. “The CM’s recent global investors’ meet at New Delhi is a clear indicator of his ulterior motives. Now, once again land, water and electricity meant for tribals and farmers would be allocated to investors,” he said.

“While his party - the BJP is strongly opposing foreign direct investment (FDI) in retail, the CM is hell bent on squandering state resources to the foreigner capital investors. His new mantra is vieshi lao swadeshi hatao (bring foreigners, remove locals),” he said.

Terming CM’s efforts impartial, Jogi said he did not even take advice of principal opposition pertaining to state’s progress.

“The CM’s invitation to foreign investors confirms that he wants to recover fat donation from them considering polls ahead,” Jogi said.

He cautioned the CM that Congress would not allow him to sell Chhattisgarh to foreigners and launch massive public movement across the state.

He further asked the CM to stop plundering the state like Britishers and call all-party meeting to hold talks on foreign capital investment.
