Bastarians to reply Raman govt in polls: Charandas

The Raman Singh government is exploiting and harassing Bastarians and they will give appropriate reply to it in coming Assembly polls. The words were expressed by AICC secretary and state Congress incharge secretary Bhakt Charandas while he was addressing massive gathering of Congmen during Vidhan Sabha-level workers’ meeting at Tokapal under Chitrakot legislative constituency on Tuesday.
He appealed to the tribal community to uproot BJP government to safeguard its self-respect. Terming the BJP government corrupt, he said it was high time to snatch power from it in next elections.
PCC president Nandkumar Patel said the Centre flow ample fund for Bastarians but it never reach to them because the state government misuses it. He pointed that the Bastar was deprived of the basic facilities like education, health, road, water and electricity due to government’s apathy.
“There is only one teacher for 90 students in Sukma college, but the government does not seems interested in filling the vacant posts of teaching staff there. Similarly, many schools in Bastar division lack teaching staff. The development in Bastar has decelerated due to government’s negligent attitude,” he said.
Before the workers’ meeting, about 450 former Congress workers including district panchayat member PV Ravi, Kumhadvand sarpanch Nilima Rao and four other sarpanchs met Patel and expressed their wish to return in the party. Patel announced their reinduction in the party during the meeting.
The meeting was also addressed by former CLP leader Mahendra Karma, Bastar Lok Sabha incharge Uday Mudliyar, Fulodevi Netam and Lakheshwar Baghel.
The local party leaders present on the occasion were Manohar Lunia, Umashankar Shukla, etc.
The second VS-level workers’ meeting of the party will be organised at Bakawand under Jagdalpur legislative constituency on Wednesday.
