Raipur, March 31, 2012

Congress will organise two Vidhan Sabha-level workers’ meetings in Bastar division on April 3 and 4. The AICC secretary and state unit incharge secretary Bhakt Charandas will arrive from national capital to attend both the meetings. He will be accompanied by PCC president Nandkumar Patel.
The first VS-level meeting will be organised at Tokapal under Chitrakot legislative constituency on April 3 while the second will be held at Bakawand under Jagdalpur legislative constituency on the following day.
The party’s chief spokesperson Shailesh Nitin Trivedi informed that the PCC executive member and Bastar Lok Sabha incharge Uday Mudliyar convened a meeting of the local Congress office-bearers at party office in Jagdalpur to take stock of the preparations of both the meetings.
Trivedi claimed that Bastarians were severely upset by Raman Singh-government and would play decisive role again in next elections.
He said the Congress workers in Bastar were eagerly waiting for the VS-level meetings.
Notably, the Congress has organised back-to-back workers’ meetings in different parts of the state in past three months. According to information, the state unit president has hinted to expedite party activities in the coming days after being asked by the national leadership to do so considering less then two years remaining for Assembly polls.
