Congress on Saturday said that the government had completely failed to maintain law and order in the state.
“Anarchy prevails in the state. What happened to the government’s claims of good governance? The cases of dacoity, abduction, rape and murder have increased during BJP regime but neither police administration looks helpless,” said Congress spokesperson Sushil Anand Shukla.
“The people of Chhattisgarh are suffering due to tussle between top cops. The officials have become untrammelled. The Raman Singh-government has failed to discharge its responsibility sincerely,” he said.
Shukla pointed that from capital to remote rural pockets of the state, the criminals were continuously challenging law and order by committing crime in board day-light.
