Congress has announced to attack government through its state-wide vada nibhao fortnight from April 16-30. “Many of our questions remained unanswered in Vidhan Sabha because Chief Minister and his Cabinet ministers did not consider the issues raised by us as significant. Now, we will take these issues to the streets and compel the government to reply under vada nibhao fortnight,” said PCC president Nandkumar Patel while talking to the media persons after holding meeting of party office-bearers at Congress Bhawan on Monday. Besides, four more significant meetings held in the party’s state office on Monday.
To chalk out the plan for its vada nibhao fortnight, Patel will convene a meeting of PCC office-bearers and heads of DCCs on April 12.
“The government has done several announcements during its gram suraj campaigns in last couple of years but none reached to the practical footing. The Congress will launch state-wide agitation in this connection from April 12,” he said.
“Besides, the mafias have spread-eagled in the entire state. From coal to mining to liquor to gunny sacks, the mafias are ruling the roost,” he alleged.
“The government has not even spared SC, ST and backward class by curtailing their quota,” he added.
In another meeting, the party’s 11 Lok Sabha incharge general secretaries discussed about organisational activities in their respective assigned regions.
The three other meetings held in the Congress Bhawan were of monitoring committee, discipline committee and building construction committee.
