The
Congress on Saturday announced 24 women leaders of the party as PCC delegates.
The nomination was done to ensure 33.33 percent participation of women in the
party. Now, the total number of PCC delegates in the state has increased from
276 to 300. Also, the total number of women delegates in the PCC has also
increased from 76 to 100.
The
list of 24 women candidates was earlier sent by state unit head Nandkumar Patel
to Pradesh Returning Officer (PRO) Viplove Thakur for approval. On, Saturday,
Thakur announced made then announcement after getting nod on the names of the
candidates from senior party leadership.
The
24 nominated women leaders are - Suman Pathak, Kalpana Patel, Babita Natthani,
Usharajjan Shrivastava, Bharti Chouhan, Shraddha Kuber Yadu, Vijay Laxmi
Kashyap, Parvati Sahu (all Raipur), Nandni Sahu, Usha Patel, Premlata Bhoi(all
Mahasamund), Alka Sharma, Neerja Dwivedi (both Bilaspur), Subhashini
Singh (Koria), Dr Archana Chouhan, Kavita Sahu, Maya Belchandan, Anita Patre
(all Durg), Sarla Tiwari, Raimati Kashyap (both Jagdalpur), Kantidevi Nag
(Kanker), Kamla Devi Pisda (Rajnandgaon), Shashi Singh Gaur and Manisha Sahu
(both Dhamtari).
