The NSUI on Thursday burnt an effigy of Chief Minister Raman Singh for not inviting Governor Shekhar Dutt to participate in any of the inaugural functions of newly formed districts.
“This is sheer insult of the Governor. The government obtained constitutional status of new districts from Rajbhavan but ironically it did not invite Governor in any of the inaugural programmes,” said former NSUI state president Sanjeev Shukla and organisation’s Raipur district president Pradeep Sahu.
The NSUI members warned the CM of continuing its protest movements against him if he would not tender apology to the Governor.
The NSUI members who burnt the effigy of the CM were Mohit Shrivastava, Abhinav Raoute, Vidhi Namdev, Amitabh Ghosh, Shiekh Asif, Nadeem Salat, Ravi Sen, Ashish Ghosh, Tarun Soni, Shashikant Barode, Rajesh Soni, Rahul Singh, Mohammad Shahrukh, etc.
