Governor
Shekhar Dutt has emphasised on provision of quality education in the state for
all-round development of students. Dutt’s emphasis came while he was addressing
the students of Swami Vivekanand Vidyapeeth (SVV) on the occasion of Saraswati
puja and culture programme on Basant Panchami on Saturday.
“Our
country is rich in terms of both human and natural resources and their optimum
use is only possible through knowledge and education,” Dutt said.
He
felt that the Indian society really needs blessings of Goddess Saraswati in
current scenario. He prayed for children and hoped that they would become
multi-talented and take the country to new heights in the global arena.
He
said the students should not only develop interest in discoveries and
inventions but also hone their skills in analysis and interpretations.
“Our
nation requires more number of intellectuals, teachers, scientists,
researchers, artistes, managers and doctors so that they could establish India
as a leader in the world through their expertise,” he added.
Dutt
also commended SVV’s invaluable contribution in propagation of education.
The
secretary of Ramkrishna Mission Raipur Swami Satyaroopanand, who presided over
the programme, informed students about significance of Goddess Saraswati. The
programme was also addressed by SVV secretary Dr Om Prakash Verma.
