PCC president Nandkumar Patel has alleged that the ruling BJP was adopting partial attitude while allocating Central funds to civic bodies and panchayats and ignoring Congress-led regions. “The government should stop incommoding elected public representatives of Congress as its step-brotherly attitude is directly affecting development of the specific areas,” Patel said after convening a meeting of elected public representatives of Durg and Rajnandgaon districts at Durg on Wednesday.
In the meeting, the public representatives complained that the government never provide adequate fund to their areas for implementation of Centrally-sponsored schemes.
The CLP leader Ravindra Choubey too expressed his objection over the government’s fund allocation policy terming it undemocratic and biased. “The ruling party cannot ignore elected public representatives of Congress. By not providing funds to the Congress-dominated areas, the government is depriving people of radical facilities,” he said.
The meeting was attended by MLAs Mohammad Akbar, Shivraj Usare and Bholaram Sahu, PCC general secretary and party’s Rajnandgaon Lok Sabha incharge Arun Vora, PCC general secretary and party’s Durg Lok Sabha incharge Subhash Sharma, party chief spokesperson Shailesh Nitin Trivedi, Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation Mayor Naresh Dakalia, Bhilai Municipal Corporation Mayor Nirmala Yadav, senior leader Dhanesh Patel and party’s public representatives from Durg and Rajnandgaon districts.
