Patel revokes expulsion of 11 Cong leaders


Raipur, January 16, 2012 

The PCC president Nandkumar Patel revoked expulsion of 11 party leaders on Monday. His decision came in wake of recommendation made by the party’s disciplinary committee to take back these leaders.
The leaders whose expulsion has been cancelled are - Rakesh Bais, Kuber Sapha (both Raipur), Arun Trivedi – Kota, Bilaspur, Satyanarayan Tiwari – Lailunga, Raigarh, Bedram Sidar – Patthalgaon, Jashpur, Geetanjali Patel – Janjgir-Champa, Anil Shukla, Devdutt Chourasia, Suraj Kumar Upadhyay (all three from Raigarh), Bhojendrashyam Ramteke and Sanjay Dhruv (both from Antagarh),
Notably, the party leadership had earlier expressed its readiness take back the expelled leaders on the basis of their fair conduct considering its mission 2013 plans.
There was a long list of expelled leaders before the disciplinary committee to consider. The panel in its meeting on January 2 shortlisted 11 expelled leaders who could be taken back. Then it recommended Patel to revoke the expulsion of these leaders.
