Patel exhorts Congmen to prepare for mission 2013

Raipur, Jan 27, 2012

PCC president Nandkumar Patel has appealed to the Congress workers to get prepared for mission 2013 by uniting and increasing their activities. “The Congress aims to serve people by ridding them from corrupt BJP government and bringing back peace and prosperity in the state,” said Patel while addressing the partymen on the occasion of Republic Day at Congress Bhawan on January 26.
He said the party raised almost all the major issues prominently in the last one year and exposed the corrupt face of the ruling BJP. “The government has nothing to claim as people are severely irked with scams, lawlessness and rising naxal terror. This government is anti-people and we are committed to dethrone it in next Assembly elections,” said Patel.
He said the BJP’s anti-corruption movements were also intended to deceive common mass as the party behaved erratically when the Congress-led UPA government brought Lokpal bill in the parliament.
“The Congress, on the other hand, is very much committed to fight against corruption. In this connection, our monitoring committee has collected evidences of graft cases by touring nine districts of the state - Sarguja, Surajpur, Balrampur, Koria, Jashpur, Kawardha and Mahasamund, Rajnandgaon, Dhamtari. We tour all the remaining districts in the coming months and prepare a report and send it to our national leadership as well Union government for further action,” Patel said.
He said the party was also attempting to increase its domain and consolidate from booth to state level through workers’ meetings. “We are organising district-level workers’ meetings and are getting excellent response from the partymen. We have also organised one state-level meeting at Raipur recently. We will continue our meetings and demonstrations against the government in future too,” he said.
