Rs 14.58 cr allocated as stipend for panchayat workers

Directorate Panchayat has allocated an additional amount of Rs 14.58 crore as stipend for panchayat works (secretaries) in the current financial year.

In this connection, the Directorate has issued a circular to the chief executive officers of all the district panchayats.

The Directorate has instructed the CEOs to quickly transfer allocated funds to the gram panchayats and send expenditure details by fifth of every month.

The districts for which the funds have been allocated are – Raipur – Rs 3.16 crore, Durg – Rs 1.78 crore, Sarguja – Rs 1.61 crore, Raigarh – Rs 1.34 crore, Mahasamund – Rs 95 lakh, Dhamtari – Rs 64.41 lakh, Rajnandgaon – Rs 99.91 lakh, Kawardha – Rs 49.90 lakh, Jagdalpur – Rs 35.55 lakh, Narayanpur – Rs 14.51 lakh, Dantewada – Rs 39.63 lakh, Bijapur – Rs 14.80 lakh, Kanker – Rs 38.69 lakh, Bilaspur – Rs 89.84 lakh, Korba – Rs 49.70 lakh, Janjgir-Champa – Rs 50.70 lakh, Jashpur – Rs 25.56 lakh and Koria – 35.30 lakh.
