The Congress has alleged that administrative terrorism is increasing in the state. “It seems that administrative terrorism will continue in the state as Chief Minister Raman Singh is not even heeding complaints of his own party legislator Jageshwar Ram Bhagat who has sat on dharna due to indifferent attitude of the ministers and increasing red tapism,” said PCC’s chief spokesperson Shailesh Nitin Trivedi.
Bhagat, who represents Jashpur legislative Assembly area, has alleged that the administration had taken repressive action against the people during its anti-encroachment campaign. “Bhagat had strongly raised his objection to the administrative action against the innocent people and complained about it to the CM but the latter did not take any action. This is happening with all the public representatives whether they are from the ruling party or opposition, the government has put deaf ear to their complaints,” said Trivedi.
“In fact, administrative terrorism has spread in length and breadth of the state. Even the BJP’s Bilaspur parliamentarian Dilip Singh Judeo had earlier remarked that the administrative terrorism is dominating the state,” Trivedi said.
He pointed that the government posed stern face against those farmers who refused to give their agricultural lands for Lanco power plant. “During public hearing, the police lathicharged these innocent relentlessly, however the government is mum on the entire episode,” he said.
“Even the people residing in capital city are not safe. The government once again proved its insensitivity by asking Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) administration to bulldoze houses in Dagania early in the morning at 5 am on pretext of encroachment,” he added.
‘The government has made the public life hell by acquiring their agricultural lands and demolishing their houses on the name of industrialisation and urbanisation,” Trivedi said.
